About

A small practice with a sharp focus.

Boutique by intention — specialized care, individually delivered.

The practice

Why boutique?

Many practices treat everything. This one deliberately does not. The practice concentrates on a specialized subset of conditions — obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder and agoraphobia, specific phobias, and social anxiety — because depth of expertise in these treatments matters more to outcomes than breadth of services.

Three commitments define how the work is done:

  • Evidence over preference. Only empirically validated treatments — ERP and CBT — with the strongest research support for each condition.
  • Treatment where it's needed. Sessions happen via teletherapy, at home, and in the community, wherever the clinical work calls for them.
  • An end in sight. Care is organized as a time-limited episode aimed at one outcome: your return to usual functioning.

The psychologist

Portrait of Dr. Saúl Gomez

Dr. Gomez is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of New York. His work centers on anxiety and obsessive-compulsive spectrum conditions, treated with the methods research supports best: exposure and response prevention and cognitive behavioral therapy.

He is known for meeting clients where the difficulty actually lives — riding the elevator with the client who fears it, standing in the grocery store aisle where the panic started, working at the kitchen table of a client who hasn't left home in months. The treatment goal is always the client's own: a defined return to the life anxiety has interrupted.

Dr. Gomez provides services in English and Spanish.
