Fee policies

No surprises.

This is a private practice. Session fees, scheduling, and practice policies are reviewed together before the first appointment, so that everything is clear before treatment begins.

Upon request, documentation can be provided for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance plans.

Cancellation and scheduling policies are provided in writing at intake.

For current fees, call (718) 501-5494 or email drsaulgomez@gmail.com.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions people actually ask.

What happens at a first appointment?

The first sessions are an evaluation: a careful look at what you're experiencing, how it developed, and what you want back. From there, we define concrete treatment goals together and agree on a plan — including where sessions should happen and roughly how long the episode of treatment is expected to take.

What is exposure therapy? Is it safe?

Exposure means approaching — gradually and deliberately — the situations, sensations, or thoughts that anxiety has taught you to avoid. It is done collaboratively, step by step, at a pace agreed together. Nothing is sprung on you and nothing is forced. It is among the most effective and well-researched treatments in all of mental health care.

How long does treatment last?

Treatment here is organized as a time-limited episode. The length depends on the condition and your goals, but the intent is always the same: to end — deliberately, when the work is done — with your functioning restored and skills in hand to maintain it.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions are available via teletherapy. When clinically indicated, treatment moves to where the difficulty lives: home visits for agoraphobia, and community-based exposure work for OCD and phobias.

Do you accept insurance?

Contact the practice to discuss current fee and reimbursement options. Documentation for out-of-network reimbursement can be provided upon request.

Do you offer services in Spanish?

Yes. Dr. Gomez provides services in both English and Spanish.
