Focused on a specialized set of conditions.

Empirically validated treatment — exposure and response prevention and cognitive behavioral therapy — delivered in a boutique, goal-directed practice.

What we treat

Four conditions. Deep expertise in each.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

OCD traps people in loops: intrusive thoughts, images, or urges (obsessions), and the rituals or avoidance used to neutralize them (compulsions). The rituals bring short-term relief and long-term reinforcement — and the loop tightens.

How it's treated: Exposure and response prevention (ERP), the most strongly supported treatment for OCD. Together, we approach triggers deliberately and practice resisting the compulsion, until the obsession loses its grip. When indicated, exposures move out of the office and into the situations where OCD actually operates.

Panic Disorder & Agoraphobia

Panic attacks are frightening enough that people begin to organize their lives around avoiding the next one — skipping highways, trains, and crowds, and sometimes narrowing life to the walls of home.

How it's treated: CBT for panic targets the cycle directly — the catastrophic interpretation of body sensations, the avoidance that maintains the fear, and the gradual, structured return to avoided places. For clients whose world has narrowed to home, treatment can begin there, with home visits, and widen outward.

Specific Phobias

Flying, driving, heights, needles, blood, animals, storms — the fear is out of proportion to the danger, and most people know it. Knowing doesn't help; avoidance is what does the damage, and avoidance is what treatment undoes.

How it's treated: CBT with gradual, structured exposure, built as a hierarchy you climb at a pace set collaboratively. Community-based exposure sessions are available when the feared situation lives outside the office.

Social Anxiety

The fear of scrutiny and negative judgment can shrink a life — conversations avoided, classes dropped, meetings endured in silence, opportunities declined. It is one of the most common and most treatable anxiety conditions.

How it's treated: CBT that targets the predictions and safety behaviors driving the fear, paired with practiced, real-world exposure to the social situations that matter to you.

Who we treat

Individual adults, individually treated.

The practice works with adults seeking focused, evidence-based care for the conditions above. Every episode of treatment is organized around the individual client's goals — not a standard protocol applied identically to everyone.

Sessions are available in English and Spanish.

Not sure whether what you're experiencing fits? Call — a brief conversation is usually enough to determine whether this practice is the right fit, or to point you toward a better one.

How we treat

Evidence first. Goals throughout. An end in sight.

Empirically validated treatments

Every treatment offered here — ERP for OCD, CBT for panic, phobias, and social anxiety — is backed by decades of clinical research. These are structured, active therapies: you will learn skills, practice them between sessions, and measure progress against your own goals.

Via teletherapy, at home, in the community

What distinguishes this practice is flexibility in where treatment happens. Sessions are available via teletherapy, and exposure work for OCD and phobias often works best in the real settings where the fear occurs. For clients with agoraphobia, treatment can begin at home. Where the sessions happen is a clinical decision, made together.

Time-limited episodes of treatment

Treatment here is organized as a time-limited episode with a defined aim: your return to usual functioning. We set goals at the start, track progress openly, and end when the work is done — leaving you with the tools to maintain what you've gained.
